What to expect after dermal fillers
Bruising at the treatment site is normal and may occur.
Minimal to moderate swelling is temporary and expected, especially in the first 48 hours. One side of your face may heal faster than the other side. Any asymmetries will improve in 2-4 weeks as the filler integrates.
It's normal to experience some firmness.
Firmness at the treatment site should last for a few weeks. If it persists, notify us.

You can take acetaminophen (Tylenol) for mild tenderness or discomfort.
What to expect immediately after a chemical peel
Your skin might be tight and slightly more red.
After the Vitalize or Rejuvenize peels, your skin might be slightly yellow or orange, or have a tacky feel.
Wait until bedtime to wash your face and use a gentle cleanser.
Avoid strenuous exercise and bringing heat to your face.
What to expect 24 hours after peel
Peeling starts and can last several days.
Peeling generally starts 48-72 hours after the procedure and can last 2-5 days. For the Illuminize Peel, visible peeling might not be observed.
Do not pick or pull the peeling skin.
Allow skin to fall off at its own pace. Premature picking off skin can cause post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. To "stick" dead skin on your face, you can use aquaphor, vaseline, or a physical sunscreen lotion.
Not every patient notices their skin peels.
Although most people experience peeling, lack of peeling is NOT an indication that the peel was unsuccessful. If you do not notice actual peeling, please know that you are still receiving all of the benefits of the peel such as stimulation of collagen production, improvement of skin tone and texture, and diminishment of fine lines and pigmentation. There are a number of reasons why a patient may not have peeling or may experience minimum peeling, discuss with your clinician.
